TWO Cheshire bands will play at The Morg’s final gig.

The Dusk will be joining fellow local band Beaver at the last evening of live rock music at Northwich Memorial Hall, affectionately known as The Morg, on Saturday, February 9.

They will be following in the footsteps of The Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Judas Priest, The Animals, The Kinks, The Hollies, Tom Jones, The Moody Blues, The Yardbirds, Donovan and blues legend John Lee Hooker – who have all played at the venue during its 53-year history.

The Dusk were formed in 2010 and hail from Northwich, Middlewich and Nantwich.

Their debut EP, Falling, was produced by Simon Jones, from The Verve and Black Submarine.

The gig will also mark a change of direction and name for The Dusk, who may offer a sneak peak at their new sound at that final gig.

Beaver are well known around Northwich for their diverse and energetic live shows.

They have been supporting bands performing in the 'Sounds of the 60's' events in the north west.

Doors open at 7pm and tickets, priced £5, are available from theatrebooking.brioleisure.org.
