Fishpool Inn to reopen after £2.9m refurb
4:40pm Thursday 7th February 2013 in News
A PUB and restaurant is about to reopen its doors after a 12-month and £2.9 million refurbishment.
The Fishpool Inn, in Delamere, has been given an oak framed sandstone extension, allowing it to cater for twice as many diners, as well as extensive landscaping outside.
Owners Nelson Hotels have planted more than 300 extra trees, plants and shrubs to enhance the grounds and provide a picturesque beer garden.
A new cellar has also been built 9ft underground to keep beer and real ale in optimum condition.
Andrew Nelson, Nelson Hotels’ operations director, said: “We’re very excited about The Fishpool Inn and we’ve been working extremely hard to deliver another outstanding venue for Cheshire.
“Whether coming to dine or drink, all guests will experience a friendly welcome and the highest of standards in beautiful, ambient surroundings.
“We’ve sympathetically restored and added to the building and grounds to ensure that The Fishpool Inn becomes an unbeatable and memorable choice for all visitors. “We’re overwhelmed with the interest so far, with our opening Friday and Saturday evenings fully booked within a week of announcing our opening date.
“The renovation of the Fishpool Inn has created a lot of excitement in the area and we hope for this to long continue.”
Nelson Hotels also owns The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa near Chester, The Bear’s Paw in Warmingham, and The Pheasant Inn in Higher Burwardsey.
The Fishpool Inn reopens on Friday.
