GRAHAM Evans MP is seeking local musicians to sign up to Parliament’s Rock The House competition.
Open to unsigned British artists of all ages, the competition is looking for the best solo act and band under 19, best band and solo act over 19, best music video, and best small venue.
Mr Evans will nominate his favourite act from each category in his constituency, who will then be judged by a panel of industry experts and musicians to win a place in the live battle of the bands final.
“I would encourage anyone thinking of a music career to take up this fantastic opportunity,” said Mr Evans.
“The prize fund includes equipment, master-classes and seminars from industry specialists that money just can’t buy and the winners of last year’s competition performed at the Richoh Arena in Coventry, the Cavern Club in Liverpool and on the Terrace of the House of Commons.”
