Weaver Vale Housing Trust offers funding boost
11:00am Sunday 27th January 2013 in News
WEAVER Vale Housing Trust is offering a new year’s funding boost to organizations and community groups that have a positive impact in the area.
Each year the trust sets aside a budget for its Community Assistance Fund and encourages community groups that need financial support to come forward to bid for grants of up to £500.
“The aim of the trust’s Community Assistance Fund is to provide a helping hand to those already doing great work in the local area,” said Stacey Green of the trust.
“We support different groups by offering grants that will benefit both our customers and the wider community.”
The funding is allocated by a panel of tenants and has already provided grants to a range of organisations, including youth groups, nurseries, sports and social clubs, and credit unions.
Rudheath Social Football Club is one organization that has already benefited from the funding.
For more information on applying for a grant, call Stacey Green at Weaver Vale Housing Trust on 01606 813422.
