A RUNNER plans to cover 260 miles to raise cash for The Joshua Tree this year.
Northwich man Dave Corp has set himself the challenge of running ultra marathon distances throughout the next 12 months.
The dad-of-two will take part in a number of events of more than 26.2 miles to reach the 260-mile total.
He hopes to raise more than £2,600 for the charity, which aims to build a holiday home for children with life-threatening illnesses to enjoy free short breaks with their families.
He said: “Having spent some time with Lyn, Dai, Jo and the dedicated team of volunteers The Joshua Tree supports my passion for encouraging and supporting the next generation, especially those in need.
“I want to be able to make that difference in order that the next generation can achieve their full potential, whatever their circumstances.”
Events Dave has planned so far include the 32-mile Anglesey Coastal Trail, the 34-mile Sandstone Trail Challenge, the 26-mile Trail Marathon Wales and the 50-mile Lakeland UTLD.
