Have your say on future of Whitegate and Marton

WHITEGATE residents are being urged to give their views on the future of their parish to help create a neighbourhood plan.
More than 900 people living in the villages of Whitegate and Marton have been given the chance to help shape plans for their neighbourhood by answering the Neighbourhood Plan Questionnaire.
The questionnaire, which has been distributed to homes across the two villages, asks residents to give their views on where future housing, jobs, schools, roads, access to local health services and leisure facilities are located.
Although the neighbourhood plan consultation was launched in September, residents still have time to have their say.
Whitegate Parish councillor and resident, Mhari Oakes, said: “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the people of Whitegate and Marton to have their say on what happens in their village.
“We are urging people to fill in the questionnaire and return it as soon as they can either by post, by email or by handing it in at the Christmas lights switch on this weekend.
“This is their chance to make a real difference to Whitegate and Marton over the next 20 years.”
You can return your questionnaire responses:
By post: The Parish Clerk, Whitegate & Marton Parish Council, Holm Lea, Clay Lane, Marton, CW7 2QE.
By email: cllr@mharioakespr.co.uk
By hand: At any parish council meeting, held on the second Monday of each month at Whitegate School, or at the Christmas lights switch on at The Mews, Church Green, on Saturday December 8.
