LOSTOCK Tiny Tots has received a much-needed makeover thanks to the help of Barclays Bank.

The team, based at Gadbrook Park, offered to help carry out essential work in the school’s outdoor area, giving children the chance to play outside no matter what the weather.

Former Tiny Tots pupil, Fern Cobley, led the team, helping to add a safety fence and protective sail over the top of the patio to enable the children to stay dry.

Fern’s mother, Kelly Cobley, stayed involved with the preschool and has been employed as a member of staff there for more than 20 years.

“The preschool is so fortunate to have staff like Kelly whose daughter thought our charity was worthwhile to spend so much time and money on,” said Sandra Waterhouse, school supervisor.

“The children at the preschool have loved the building process, watching intently on every little detail that has been going on, and are excited at the thought of being able to play outside – even in the pouring rain.

“On behalf of myself and all the staff and children at Lostock Tiny Tots, I would just like to say a huge thank you to Fern, her right hand man Luke and the rest of her amazing team at Barclays for coming to do this for us – we really appreciate it.”
