Verdin Park will be alive with colour
8:30am Friday 26th October 2012 in News
THE sky above Verdin Park will be alive with colour next month as the annual town bonfire celebration sparks into action on November 3.
Catherine wheels will light up the night sky at the event, organised by Northwich Round Table and Northwich Rotary Club, as well as £5,000 of other fireworks and an enormous bonfire.
Gates open at 5.30pm and the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm by Northwich mayor Clr George Mainwairing, who will be joined at the event by winners of this year’s Cheshire Beauty competition. The fireworks will follow on from this at about 7.15pm.
Admission is £5 for adults and £2.60 for under 12s. Stalls and carnival style rides will also be available throughout the evening.
Guests should remember, remember that November can be cold and warm clothing and suitable footwear is recommended.
Members of the public will not be admitted with personal fireworks, sparklers or alcohol.
