Lostock Gralam Primary opens new classrooms

CHILDREN at Lostock Gralam CE Primary School have been blessed with three new classrooms.

The official opening of the classrooms, attended by the Bishop of Birkenhead, Northwich’s mayor Clr George Mainwairing, past teachers and students from the University of Chester Academy Northwich.

With a purpose builty classroom for reception, with its own outdoor play area, toilets and cloakroom, as well as a classroom for Year 1 and Year 2, the classrooms have dramatically improved the school.

Acting headteacher Gill Barker said: “The new classrooms are the continuation of a great future for the school.

“Not only have they increased the facilities we have here, they’ve also doubled the size of the school meaning we can cater for more children.

After the grand opening of the classrooms, children at the school had their own little party to celebrate, filled with jelly, ice cream and homemade cakes.
