Last chance to enter Forestry Commission photo competition
1:00pm Tuesday 23rd October 2012 in News
FOLLOWING the launch of the Forestry Commission’s 2012 North West Photograph Competition, rangers are appealing to budding photographers to make the most of the majestic autumn season for a chance to see their picture published in the 2013 calendar.
Richard Topley, of the Forestry Commission, said: “Our community woodlands are right on the doorsteps of people living in towns and cities and provide an easy-to-reach getaway, full of hidden gems.
“The woodlands are full of inspiration during all seasons but autumn is a truly spectacular time of the year, especially for colour.”
The competition has already attracted interest from a number of photographers who have submitted their snaps of wonderful wildlife, beautiful sunsets and luscious landscapes.
However, the Forestry Commission is keen to see more images of the region’s community woodlands at their best.
Twelve winners will have their photographs published in a 2013 calendar while the overall winner will see their image appear on the front cover.
All entries must be sent via email to Katie Durose at email@example.com.
File sizes should be between 1MG and 4MG.
Please include your name, address, contact number and details of when and where the photograph was taken.
The competition closes on November 1.
