ALL of the salt museum's doors will be open to visitors this weekend, as part of national Museums & Galleries Month.
Areas of the building that are not normally available to the public will be open to visitors.
There will be the chance to learn about the history of the building, which was formerly the workhouse for Northwich, have a go at a variety of activities and have a look at the latest exhibition, Farming in Cheshire Past & Present.
The museum will be open during this special event from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 1pm to 5pm on Sunday, and will be free all weekend.
The museum is also celebrating the first birthday of its mini cinema with a mini film festival from Tuesday, May 27 to Thursday, May 29, with daily performances at 10.30am, 2pm and an evening show at 7pm.
Tickets and more information are available at the museum, or by phoning 01606 271640.
On Wednesday, May 28, education officer Tom Hughes will present a lively account of The Legends of Cheshire.
Admission is £1, for a 3pm start.
