THE Purple Cactus Comedy Club is to hold its next evening on Friday, July 11 in Northwich Memorial Hall, in Chesterway.

The comedy evening will feature four acts: Brian Higgins, Steve Day, Wayne Deakin and Ty Barnett.

Ex-pat Scot Brian Higgins has been likened to Billy Connolly, while Steve Day is deaf and bases a lot of his stories around this. He is a regular voice on BBC Radio 4 and has starred with Caroline Quentin and Patricia Routledge in The Sound Barrier.

Australian Wayne Deakin constantly tours in the USA and Canada, recently performing in front of over 10,000 people at the Meredith Music Festival and the Falls Festival.

Chicago born Ty Barnett is making a rare visit to the UK from his home in Los Angeles.

Doors open at 7.30pm, with the show starting at 8.30pm. Tickets cost £10 and are available by calling 01606 867539 or visiting valeroyal.gov.uk.
