LAST September, Alan McGee launched Musicians against Homelessness,

More than a hundred gigs held nationwide raised enough for a week’s stay at Crisis for 1700 people.

A gig at Altrincham’s Cinnamon Club raised £1,000 alone.

It was arranged by Angela Moore, 40, from Broadheath, a former pupil of Oldfield Brow Primary School and Green Lane High School.

Angela has two jobs working for Galaxy Optical Services and Home Instead Senior Care

She said:” I have had financial difficulties myself and, in the past, have been threatened with eviction due to rent arrears.

“My first gig last year went so well I am now organising a second event.

"This year we have four acts."

Singer Amanda Jane Heywood, from Timperley, will open the event.

Amanda sang live A Capella on the Becky Want Show for BBC Radio Manchester and to five million listeners in the USA on Diamond Radio.

For the past two years she has performed to five thousand people at Irlam Live.

Ideal Forgery are a Manchester Based five piece alternative Rock band who operate under their own record label, Ideal Music. Their music is created by Zak Hearney who formed them in 2014.

Joe Symes and the Loving Kind will travel from Liverpool for the gig. Their self-named album, received well in America, has been brought to the attention of Creaton Management’s Alan McGee.

Their double A side single has been played at Anfield on match days.

The fourth act will be The Big Peach, a young upcoming Rock n’Roll band.

Angela said: “When winter comes, the homeless must go through strict checks before being accepted for help under Severe Weather Protocol when the temperature goes below zero for three days.”
