AN all-male production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s the Mikado by Regan de Wynter Williams

Productions, set in the 1950s. will include a Dementia friendly showing.

The show will run between July 25 and July 29 and dementia sufferers are invited to attend the matinee on Wednesday, July 26 at 2 pm.

The especially adapted performance will be presented at a slower pace in particular during fast plot developments.

To help people follow the story ,there will be more repetition than usual.

Other differences might mean keeping the lights on, allowing people to leave when they wish and having extra, trained staff on duty.

The production pokes fun at British politics and institutions.

• The Mikado is at the Lowry from Tuesday, July 25 – Saturday, July 29 with 2 pm matinees on the Thursday and Saturday. The Dementia friendly performance in on Wednesday, July 26 at 2 pm.
