Kelly Rowland has revealed she is expecting a son.

The singer, who is pregnant with her first child with husband and manager Tim Witherspoon, accidentally spilled the beans as she spoke to Fox News.

"We're very excited," she told Fox411. "So far, everything has been good. I just feel like the baby is already [spoiled] rotten - like literally, my family has gotten him all of his little bathing stuff, his toys - it's just so cool."

When Kelly realised she had revealed more than she intended to, she sighed and laughed, adding: "It, it's... Aw, f**k it! It's a boy. It's a boy!"

The 33-year-old star then asked her spokeswoman to call Tim."I'm sorry, baby," she told him. "But yes, it's very exciting."

Kelly revealed that the couple have been preparing the baby's nursery.

"My baby's nursery is fly. I just wanted it to feel like a comfortable museum. Almost loft-y like. It's just looks really cool. He's got these huge pieces of artwork. It's just really fresh," she said.

She also admitted her child may have musical leanings as he responds with movement whenever she plays music, saying: "When you play music, period. But really to hip-hop right now!"

And while she remained tight-lipped about whether her Destiny's Child bandmate Beyonce - the mother of two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy - has passed on any tips about motherhood, she did say: "All my girls have given me advice. I have a wonderful crew of girlfriends.

"As women, we're powerful, and women have been so supportive. They always have such nice things to say, whether it's 'Oh my gosh, you look so nice,' or giving me different advice, and that feels good."
