Band aim to jazz it up

THE next DAN Jazz event, featuring SaxAssault, moves to Debees in Market Street, Winsford, as the usual venue of Davenham Players Theatre just isn’t big enough.

Andy Scott’s SaxAssault features nine saxophones from soprano to bass, backed by grooves from a three piece rhythm section. Saxophonist and award winning composer Andy Scott ingeniously tailors his compositions to combine the talents of some of the best UK saxophonists from jazz, pop and classical genres.

SaxAssault are Carl Raven, Ben Wagorn, Andy Schofield, Dave Graham, Andy Scott, Mike Hall, John Helliwell, Sam Andreae, Jim Feldhouse (saxes), Dave Stapleton (piano), Ollie Collins (bass) and Elliott Henshaw (drums).
