MEMBERS of Davenham Players Theatre have their sights firmly set on developing the venue during 2012.
Ed Green, artistic director of the Davenham and Sandiway Players and Tin Shed Theatre Company, has high hopes for the theatre, which he said is a great community asset but is being ‘grossly under-used’.
He said: “What we are trying to do at Davenham is make it more of a community theatre.
“To do that, we are going to engage the community and also trying to put on more productions to offer a variety and get people in and see what they think.”
Ed has organised a number of jazz evenings to run at the theatre, as well as productions on-stage, plans for a comedy club and the production of plays written by residents are also in the pipeline.
