DIRECTED by Woody Allen, Cassandra’s Dream stars Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor as two lower middle class brothers who commit a dark crime that shatters their humanity and destroys their family ties.
Terry (Farrell) and Ian (McGregor) are sick of their lives and want something better.
When Terry wins big at the dog races betting on a dog called Cassandra's Dream the brothers buy a boat with the winnings.
But when their rich Uncle Howard (Tom Wilkinson) arrives for a visit and Terry and Ian ask him for money to bankroll their dreams, the cost is greater than either of the brothers could have anticipated.
This is a depressing film with a bleak outlook of human nature.
