By Miranda Newey

A BLIND violinist’s world comes crashing down after an operation to restore her sight goes horrifically wrong.

The Eye, sees Sydney, played by Jessica Alba journey through a terrifying rollercoaster ride of experiences after she starts to see through the eyes of her cornea donor.

Despite the operation being a success she is haunted by dreams of ghosts, burning and fire.

In an attempt to find the root of the terror she retraces the steps of her donor to discover the truth behind the terror.

The nerve-wracking film leaves viewers wondering when the next fright will be as the science fiction flick casts a series of terrifying images and eerie Hitchcock-esque sounds for the duration.

Although the account is a gripping watch, Jessica Alba doesn’t make the far fetched plot appear convincing.
