I would like to thank all those supported me in the new Cheshire East Council Elections on Thursday, May 1.

Your votes were most gratefully received and I felt very humbled to have been asked to represent the people of Middlewich at what will, in effect, be a higher level of local government than that of the outgoing Borough.

I am only too conscious of the level of trust that has been shown in me and fully realise the need to do my utmost to justify the position to which I have been entrusted. To this end, I can confirm that I am here to represent everyone in our community, irrespective of their political preferences and will be more than happy to talk with you at any time on any issue. You can rest assured that I do not disappear after elections.

Once again, thank you all very much and I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can.
