I would like to raise people's awareness of our local Griffiths Park and what an absolute state it is in. Over the last few years it has declined into a mass of dog mess and glass, and seems to be the local youth drinking area.
What I would like to say is where is the local council cleaning force that is supposed to keep the area safe for children?
As you go down what I call dog s**t alley, you are then met with another obstacle, the glass. Then when and if you make it to the swings with a toddler in tow you're met with obscenities written on the slide and drawings on the floor.

Where is the local funding to improve this facility? It seems Winsford has had two new parks but the only decent park in Northwich is Roker Park (Vickersway Park) and that is only because it is locked at night and the majority of the day it has someone about.
I live only two minutes walk away from Griffiths Park and it was absolutely fantastic when it first opened but now it's more like Northwich tip.
Actually the tip is cleaner.
What do we have to do to provide decent play areas for our children? The Government bang on about getting our children out and away from computer games and TVs, but judging by the state of the area I would rather them sit and play on the Xbox than risk falling on glass or dog mess.
Is it just me who cares? Obviously the council doesn't.
