OF course I was delighted to read Delamere Post Office had retained a link with the outside world (Guardian April 16), although I wouldn't call it a silver lining.
I've a soft spot for Delamere and its post office. Back in the 1950s that was the post office me and my late wife Betty used. In fact the photographer from Delamere Post Office took our wedding photos.
To close down part of a community, which has been an integral part for decades is ludicrous. To import services from Plumley, 10 miles away two days a week, is yet another example of EU stupidity and Government incompetence. How much longer before the British people say no' to EU interference and meddling? Not long I can tell you.

I've mentioned Government incompetence, and they have just proved it by making 5,000,000 of the poorest people worse off, and we call these people well educated?
They prove they are not even capable of running our post offices.
