Dr PETER NORMAN PRESTON-HOUGH Also known as Peter HOUGH Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on 2nd February 2017 aged 61 years. Devoted and dearly loved husband to Susan, brother to Trevor and a much loved godfather. Peter will be sadly missed by friends, relatives, neighbours and many organisations, particularly Wolverhampton University. Funeral service to be held at St Chad`s Church, Swanlow Lane, Winsford on Monday 27th February at 11.30am followed by committal at Vale Royal Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the British Heart Foundation or The RAF Benevolent Fund. I'm deeply saddened at the belated news of Peter's death. I had the pleasure of being taught by Peter during completion of my Masters studies in Military History at the University of Chester a few years back. For those who worked with Peter and studied under him knew him to be immensely knowledgeable on the history of the R.A.F. and Airborne Warfare of World War Two. Peter and I had a shared passion for the History of Operation Market Garden which often resulted in many a long and informative post seminar chat. Peter's teaching was always engaging, informative, entertaining and delivered with quick wit. Peter will be deeply missed by his close friends and colleagues and former students at both Wolverhampton and Chester Universities. I offer my deepest sympathies to Peter's family and friends at this difficult time.
