A NORTHWICH bridal shop has been recognised by industry experts after finishing as runner-up at a regional awards ceremony.

Cherish Bridal, on Middlewich Road, was named runner-up at the north west County Brides Wedding Awards held at Heaton House Farm in Macclesfield on June 18.

Judges highlighted the shop’s impressive customer service and collection of wedding wear.

Owner Tracy Hollinshead, 43, who has been in the industry for 13 years and run Cherish Bridal for seven, told the Guardian it was not only a big achievement for her but also for Northwich.

“I can’t thank my brides enough,” she said.

“While it would have been great to win first place, it is still a fantastic feeling to do so well against such stiff competition.

“The winner this year was Confetti in Manchester and it was a tight vote. When you compare them to me you can see the level of competition that we had.

“But I got the most voters for the Cheshire area and my aim is to win it next year.”

Duane and Dawn Thornborough, managing directors at County Brides, added: “We’re very pleased to announce Tracy from Cherish Bridal as runner-up in our fourth annual awards, with more than 7,000 votes cast and more than 400 businesses nominated.”
